DUSTY DECO
Ten years ago, we founded one of Sweden’s most eclectic design destinations, built around a carefully curated selection of furniture, interior objects, and art. What initially took shape on a small scale quickly found its way to collectors and clients from around the world.
At the time, we were working full-time in fashion. Alongside our regular jobs, we spent weekends at flea markets, bringing everything from furniture to smaller objects back to our own apartment. The home, and eventually the storage, filled up, and it became clear that what we were drawn to could grow into something more cohesive.
The idea of turning our shared interest into something more took shape over a few days in Barcelona, where we were fortunate enough to borrow a friend’s house. Evenings were spent talking, sketching, and gathering inspiration. Somewhere between conversations in the garden and Dusty Springfield playing Son of a Preacher Man, the direction became clear, and the name fell into place - Dusty Deco.

Edin and Lina Kjellvertz began their careers in the fashion industry. Their shared passion for design and their interest in collecting unique objects for their own home naturally led them into the world of interior design, eventually resulting in the founding of Dusty Deco. What started as a shared hobby evolved into a global design brand, and today they design Dusty Deco’s own collections, signature pieces defined by bold forms and a timeless approach.

INSPIRED BY OBJECTS
& PLACES WE HOLD DEAR
Our first sourcing trip took us to the US. The driving force was curiosity, a search for objects with presence, patina, and character. Pieces that would go on to define the content of our first store in the outskirts of Stockholm. Since then, we have sourced globally and met people who have influenced us in different ways. Places, encounters, and the life around us have shaped how we work and continue to move us forward. At the same time, we have always stayed true to our starting point: designing what we want to live with ourselves.
Dusty Deco has evolved gradually, through different places and contexts. From two stores in Södermalm, to a smaller space in Östermalm, and a 600-square-meter garage on Brahegatan in Stockholm. Each environment has been part of the process and has shaped our expression.
After more than a decade of experience, the next step felt obvious: to begin designing our own collection - furniture, rugs, lighting, and objects for the home, with the ambition to inspire in the same way we have been inspired.
Today, we have opened the doors to our flagship store at Storgatan 1 in Stockholm, as well as our showrooms in Los Angeles and Palma de Mallorca. Places where we create rooms we want to live in - an eclectic composition of carefully selected design classics, furniture with strong identity, and contemporary art. Environments where materials, patterns, and colours clash, contrasts that create balance and where Dusty Deco takes shape.
For the past few years, our family has been based in Mallorca, where our showroom is housed in a large, historic Mallorcan apartment, a place that in many ways, brings together how we work and present Dusty Deco today.
